Luke Chapter 16
Luke 16 challenges us to examine how we handle what has been placed in our care. Jesus teaches that faithfulness is revealed not in grand gestures, but in the small, everyday decisions we make. Through the parable of the dishonest manager, Jesus highlights the importance of wisdom and intentional living, urging us to keep eternal priorities in mind.
Jesus reminds us that we cannot serve both God and money. When our hearts are divided, our focus becomes blurred. Faithfulness to God requires clarity, discipline, and a willingness to live differently than the world around us. Luke 16 invites us to reflect on what truly governs our choices.
The chapter closes with a sobering reminder that earthly life is temporary, but eternal consequences are real. Jesus calls us to live with purpose, generosity, and awareness of what matters most.
Reflection Verse: “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” Luke 16:10
Prayer Prompt: Lord, help me be faithful in the small things and live with eternity in mind.
